Process description
SAFEBIO® is a patented Continuous Heat Treatment Process developed by TECHNI GRAU SOLUTIONS LTD for almost all dry products up to 150mm size like nuts, cereals, seeds, kernels, beans, spices and vegetables for food, feed and other agronomic commodities.
SAFEBIO® process relies on:
• Pre-processing of raw material at feeding unit (PCFU) by gently homogenizing, moisturizing and, if necessary, warming up the raw material before sending the product for heat treatment phase- drying, toasting or roasting.
• Heat treatment in the Heating chamber unit (HCU) which controls precisely in real time, the heat, the period and temperature of treatment by a “first in, first out” conveying system, in absolutely 100% natural way. The purpose of this step is
• to reduce enzymes,
• to dry till the targeted moisture,
• to toast and roast to targeted colour or another new property.
• The innovative design of the equipment also allows the most homogeneous and gentle mixing of the product in order to have efficient treatment even for various sensitive products, based on national, European or International regulations with possibility of ATEX certification. Hence, vegetables and spices like mushrooms, onion chopped, garlic flakes and wood chips or biomass can be processed without any issues.
• Precise safety, quality control and monitoring of product heating at the intermediary transfer unit (SQCMU) prior sending to the next step of cooling and conditioning.
• Dry cooling with no condensation inside and outside in the dry cooling unit (DCU). This step provides:
• the expected quality of the product by protecting its colour, flavour and texture and other functional characteristics, a thermal shock to the enzymes and to any chemical reaction initiated in the previous chamber by heating
• precise residence time processing for each particle of the product, thanks again to a “first in, first out” conveying system, and
• a safe packaging operation without any risk of cross-contamination and losing of cold energy.
• Conditioning which depends on the customer need, again without any risk of cross-contamination or bacteria growing during storage or transportation of the goods.
